Sunday, 30th March Cox Tor Circular
The first part of the walk takes us on a steady climb to the top of Cox Tor with its panoramic views. We drop down the other side and follow the old quarryman's path down the pretty Colly Brook valley and up the other side onto Smeardon Down. We walk up an old peatcutters' as far as Stephen's Grave, then cross back over the valley passing some impressive Bronze Age settlements. The final stretch takes us between Roos Tor and Cox Tor and back down to the the car park.
