Wednesday Shorter Walks

"I love the wide open spaces of Dartmoor but need to build up my walking ability. Do you do any shorter/gentle walks?"

Summary

 Wednesday 26th January  Harbourne Man and Abbots Way

Starting at Cross Furzes, we cross the Dean Burn and climb steadily up onto Skerraton Down where we visit the Harbourne Man standing stone.  To the west of it is the source of the River Harbourne which rises in a series of bubbling mires.  From here we walk to Water Oak Corner and join the Abbots Way which descends across Lambs Down with marvellous views ahead all the way down to Buckfast Abbey.
